Procrastination Holding You Back?

“WHEN I’M READY…”

There’s an old quote by Henry Ford –
“Airplanes take off against the wind, not with it”

Funny thing about Soldiers…

Leave them to their own devices and they will become bored, complacent and even if they have a To Do list, they will usually wait until it becomes much more “urgent” (Read: More fun).

But… Give them an enemy.

Someone who wants to hold them back or attack them and watch how they pull a level of focus and aggression (not anger, that’s different) from deep down inside of them.

This is true of many over-achievers in business as well.

We have great ideas but without that inner drive, we are left making up reasons as to why we aren’t charging at full steam ahead.

We’ll say things like…

“I am should………………. but before that, I need to……………….”

Sometimes this is “strategy”, but in many cases, it is simply fear-based procrastination.

I say this so you understand something important…

You must be mindful of HOW you think, and not just focus on what you think e.g. daily thoughts and self-talk…

How you think is about the processes…

When given a threat or challenge… what is your natural response?

Do you lean in and attack with everything you’ve got?

Or do you look around for someone to help you? – A Mentor, A Friend, a Coach…

Don’t get me wrong – There is NOTHING wrong with asking for support.

Because there is no such thing as a “Self-made Millionaire”… Everyone gets help so trying to “Go it alone” is not heroic… it’s kinda stupid and fairly short-sighted.

I’ll finish off by giving one thing which I hope you use right away…

a secret to success that so many top-seeded experts will also give…

that hidden gem that is simple in principle but few ever use it.

And the lesson is this…

GET OFF YOUR ASS AND TAKE ACTION.

You get WAY more compliments from working out as you might from sleeping in…

The same goes for business and life…

Get mad if you have to… But put yourself in the frame of mind that you can focus on 1 thing to do…

And go do it! – at the expense of all other distractions!

When that’s done, move onto the next thing…

It’s amazing how much more you can get done with a fierce-gaze focus on 1 thing than trying to juggle numerous things at once… doing “a little here and a little there”

Seriously… why are you still here…

You want something?

Please… With all the love and compassion in the world…

Go Get It… Because no one will bring it to you!
